Our Mission:
To promote professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education

Delta Kappa Gamma International is a professional honorary society of exemplary women educators with chapters in seventeen countries.  The Alpha Chi chapter of DKG includes active and retired educators from some fourteen different central New York (Oneida and Herkimer counties) school districts and colleges.  Our members include elementary and secondary classroom teachers, special education teachers, school administrators, college instructors, and specialists in such areas as speech therapy, school psychology, occupational therapy, library media and other related services. 

Alpha Chi is dedicated to promoting the professional and personal growth of its members, with a special interest in the needs of women and children.  Our chapter thus has a long history of service projects that have benefited numerous community organizations and their families.
